Teilchenkolloquium: Branching fraction analysis of Λb → pπμμ decays with the full Run 1 and Run 2 LHCb dataset
Rare flavour changing neutral current (FCNC) decays are good probes for beyond the Standard Model (SM) physics, particularly through the study of b → dℓℓ transitions, which are highly suppressed in the SM. This talk will focus on the Λb → pπμμ branching fraction analysis preformed with the LHCb detector using Run1 and Run2 data. Experimental techniques employed will be discussed including: reduction of background sources, Monte Carlo corrections, efficiency computations and preliminary results will be shown.
