Theses
All bachelor's and master's theses are integrated into the work of the group and are carried out in close cooperation with an experienced doctoral student or postdoctoral researcher on site. Therefore, the topics offered are always relevant to current research.
The concrete topic of a thesis depends on the current research topics of the working group and, of course, on personal interests. Below is an overview of the research areas in which the working group is involved:
- LHCb data analysis
- Measurement of CP violation
- Development of flavour tagging algorithms
- Search for rare decays
- Real-time analysis
- Development of the LHCb Upgrade Trigger System
- Charm physics
- Measurement of CP violation
- Detector development
- Development of the LHCb Beam Condition Monitor (BCM)
- Studies for the LHCb LumiTracker
- Medical physics
- Optimisation of eye tumour therapy using brachytherapy
A summary of the possible topics in the individual research groups is given in these posters.
