Two new LHCb publications on lepton flavor universality.

© PRL/PRD

The Editor's Suggestion award was given to new LHCb publications. These deal with tests on lepton flavor universality between muons and electrons in b→sℓ+ℓ- decays. Dr. Alex Seuthe was involved in the analysis, as was Dr. Biljana Mitreska at a later stage. Dr. Seuthe was already working on this important research aspect of flavor physics during his doctoral studies, for which he was awarded a doctoral fellowship by the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes. His dissertation can be found here.

In synopsis to the LHCb publications, there are also new results from the Belle II collaboration. These can be found here.

More information on the specific results from LHCb can be found in the awareded articles published in the Physics Review Letters and Physical Review D journals:

Test of Lepton Universality in b→sℓ+ℓ- Decays
Measurement of lepton universality parameters in B+→K+ℓ+ℓ- and B0→K*0ℓ+ℓ- decays.
