Humboldt Fellowship for Serena Maccolini
Dr. Serena Maccolini has been awarded a Humboldt Fellowship for her research in charm physics.
Her work is mainly focused on the study of the properties of rare charm decays with the LHCb experiment. In her analysis she will put a focus on the new data recorded with the new LHCb detector in Run 3. Furthermore, she is investigating a new strategy for measuring CP violation in D0->hh decays, which attempts to clarify the picture of the U-spin CP anomaly in charm decays. She also addresses the study of rare Lc->pll decays with previously unexplored null tests (CP asymmetries and angular analyses), first with muons and electrons and the possibility of a lepton flavor universality test, where correlations may exist with the observed CP violation in hadronic states.
