The scintillating fiber system (SciFi) is a central component of the LHCb upgrade and has been built and installed at CERN in recent years with significant involvement of the working group.
This year, the commissioning of the LHCb detector, in particular the SciFi, was successfully continued. In October 2023, measurements of collisions of lead nuclei were carried out with the LHCb upgrade detector, in which conclusions can be drawn about the laws of strong interaction under extreme conditions. The figure shows the frequency distribution of particle tracks in SciFi during the lead-lead collisions.

During the last shift in the detector's control room, members of the working group were among those involved in the work.
