Dr. Alex Seuthe from the AG Albrecht will give an introduction to experimental particle physics from 13:00-14:00 with his lecture on "Using the world's largest particle accelerator to explore the smallest particles in the universe". This will be followed by the opportunity to ask questions.
Afterwards, from 14:30-15:30, there will be a hands-on session into particle physics with the topic "Identifying particles with the ATLAS detector at CERN" by Benedikt Gocke and Michael Windau from the Kröninger AG.
